This cacao comes from the lush San Martín region in northern Peru, one of the country’s most important cacao-producing areas. Cacao cultivation here is closely connected to small-scale farming communities, where cacao has become an important source of income and rural development. 

The region is known for its long-standing cacao cultivation and today continues to invest in quality, traceability and more sustainable production practices. Much of San Martín’s cacao is grown across small farms and producer communities, with increasing attention to agroforestry, biodiversity and deforestation-free production. 

Our cacao is made from 100% cacao mass, meaning the whole cacao bean is ground into a rich, pure paste without added sugar.
